Millennial Mayor Vico Sotto formally took his oath to lead Pasig City, Sunday. Sotto ends the rule of the Eusebio family in the city that ran for almost three decades.
Sotto took his oath with before Commission on Audit Chairperson Michael Aguinaldo at the Pasig Sports Center. His parents, Vic Sotto and Connie Reyes accompanied him.
Sotto won by over 70,000 votes against Bobby Eusebio in the recently held midterm elections.
Meanwhile, Isko Moreno also took his oath to lead the country’s capital, Manila.
Moreno defeated former President and two-term Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada.
The newly-elected Mayor took his oath before Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin. Isko is now the 27th mayor of the city.
The former action-star-turned-politician admitted that reforming and transforming the city will need over three years to fix Manila woes.
