Senator and boxing champ Manny Pacquiao revealed that he initially discouraged his son Jimuel from doing boxing.
In an interview with Yahoo Sports Pacquiao said that the sports requires so much hard work, dedication to achieve success in the boxing field.
“We discouraged him. I think you have to go to school, manage the business that we have,” Pacquiao said.
He even reminded his son that being a professional boxer is a daunting task.
“We already advised him that boxing is so difficult, hard. You have to undergo hard work, training, discipline,” he added.
Jimuel already fought and won three amateur bouts. Pacquiao vows to supervise his son’s training if his schedule permits.
