Dubai Municipality rejects rumors about milk-inducing hormone injections

The Dubai Municipality has released a statement about the rumors that have spread on social media concerning Saudi-based companies Al Marai, Al Safi, and Nadec that their dairy cattle were being injected with milk-inducing hormones.

The rumors state that these synthetic growth hormones were being used to increase the production of milk for each cattle.

In a post from their official Instagram page, the Dubai Municipality stressed that the rumor is entirely false and that all products apply the necessary technical regulations and standards. “The Dubai Municipality and the regulatory bodies in UAE supervise all shipments of imported food and ensure their safety and validity for consumption,” as per the statement on Instagram.

Residents are advised to confirm validity of rumours that they see on social media by contacting the Dubai Municipality via the toll free number at 800900 or via a WhatsApp message at +971 50 107 7799.
