Beneficiaries of the UAE subsidy program can now use Smart Pass digital platform to purchase subsidized food products and even get them delivered at their doorsteps during Ramadan.
Smart Pass, a digital platform which allows users to access UAE Government services using a single account, enlists all available subsidized food products and their corresponding rates, reported Khaleej Times.
A total of 139 subsidized food items are available at six food centers across three municipalities namely Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain.
The digital platform will serve more than 70,000 registered households, who are on the beneficiaries’ list.
The government is mulling over opening new outlets before Ramadan.
With SmartPass, users only need to open an account and choose the service, select the desired food items and pay for them upon checkout.
The digital process does not require any identity card or document as all data is linked with the smart services system.
The digital platform service is also available 24/7.
