A new x-ray system will soon be introduced in Dubai which would allow patients to get their diagnosis in just one seconds.
The new technology, which was displayed at the Arab Health 2019 Exhibition and Conference, will allow specialists to check 180 patients every three minutes compared to one patient every three minutes before the technology was introduced, reported Timeout Dubai.
His Excellency Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand said that the initial phase of the project has been launched at Al Baraha and Ibn Battuta medical centres but will be employed in other centers in its full implementation.
Currently, the technology is at 98 percent accuracy rate.
Moreover, a new smart gate in Dubai airport will soon be able to test the vital signs of those entering the country.
The smart gate, called “Smart Health Tracks”, uses thermal cameras to detect the passengers’ temperature and vital signs.
If a passenger is detected to be ill, data are sent to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the passenger will be given necessary treatment.
Aside from early detection, the smart gates are also expected to help in storing data regarding the passengers since MOHAP can use the information when the passenger visits any hospital in the UAE.
