Several schools in Dubai and Sharjah have canceled classes for the rest of the day because of the continuous heavy rains experienced in the emirates.
Parents received text messages from schools informing them that they can personally pick them up at the school or have them ride the school buses which will bring them home.
The Ministry of Education has also authorized school administrations to take the necessary measures to keep the children safe and gave them the authority to dismiss students when needed.

Dubai Police has also posted a reminder to motorists to take caution while on the road as the rainy weather continues.

According to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), rainy weather with thunder and lightning is expected to continue in several parts of the country today, November 26. Aside from the rainy weather, the temperature in the UAE is also expected to significantly drop.
