Government workers in the Philippines will start receiving their 14th-month pay with an additional Php5,000 cash grant on Thursday, November 15.
Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno said that the 14th-month year-end bonus is equivalent to a full month’s salary. On top of this, government workers will also receive Php5,000 cash grant.
“In the spirit of the upcoming Christmas season, government workers nationwide will receive their 14th pay or Christmas bonus and cash gift starting tomorrow, November 15,” Diokno said.
Those who are qualified to receive the bonus and cash grants are government workers as of October 31 of the current year with at least four months of service from January 1 to October 31.
Retired government workers before October 31 with at least four months of service from January 1, shall also be given a pro-rated bonus and cash grant depending on the month of retirement.
“On top of these bonuses, government employees can also look forward to receiving their Productivity Enhancement Incentive, which will be released starting December 15,” he added.
