The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot prize has breached Php1 billion as of Monday, October 8.
In a statement, PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan said that whoever wins the jackpot prize will make history as the first ever “PCSO billionaire”.
Before, the biggest prize in the history of PCSO lotto is P741 million which was won by a lone bettor from Olongapo City in 2010.
Balutan encouraged the bettors to continue trying their luck as more bettors mean higher jackpot prize and more funds for the PCSO charity.
He also assured the public that everyone has a fair chance to win the game. He also advised the future winner of the jackpot to take extra caution and avoid telling other people about the win for security purposes.
“So sign your winning lottery ticket immediately and take extra precautions. If you can take a photo and video of yourself with the winning ticket, do it. But don’t post it publicly for security reasons. Isipin mo ang iyong seguridad at ng iyong pamilya,” he added.
During the October 7 draw of the Ultra Lotto 6/58 game, no one was able to bet on the winning combination 45-21-02-30-07-10, in no particular order, for the Php954,503,164.00 jackpot prize.
Draws happen thrice a week – every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The next draw will be on Tuesday, October 9.
According to PCSO, a bettor does not have to get all six digits to win a monetary prize. Minor prizes still await those who will get three, four or five out of the six 6/58 winning numbers.
