A Filipino theater artist was declared champion in the International Competition of Arts and Culture in Armenia.
Clem Marnel Burgos, who hails from Iloilo, bested 40 contenders in the competition. The international panel of judges gave Burgos a perfect score of 10 when he depicted a character with a mental illness.
Philippine Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes thanked Burgos for making the Filipino community there proud.
Burgos is in his 4th year of Mass Communication in Central Philippine University (CPU).
