A rare lunar eclipse will appear in the skies of the UAE later this month. The blood moon eclipse will be a sight to see this coming July 27, at 9:14 PM local time.
The said lunar eclipse will be visible in several other places in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
It is reported that the upcoming blood moon eclipse will be the longest eclipse of the century. The moon will enter its eclipse phase at 9:14 PM UAE time and will last until 2:19 AM.
The eclipse’s totality will occur from 11:30 PM until 1:30 AM for 103 minutes, and the peak eclipse time will take place at 12:21 AM.
The Dubai Astronomy Group updated its Facebook page by uploading a series of facts about the blood moon lunar eclipse.
The most recent eclipse took place last January 31.
It was the super blood blue moon, a rare cosmic event which has not been in the skies in 36 years.
