His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, paid for the hospital bill of an Emirati’s brother after taking notice of his appeal on social media.
An Emirati man posted a video online of his appeal to the UAE government to help him with his brother’s hospital bills in Bangkok.
The Emirati’s brother is suffering from esophageal and spinal cancer.
Three hours after the video was posted, the Emirati man uploaded another video saying the UAE government has offered to shoulder the hospital bills of his brother.
This is not the first time the UAE government has extended a helping hand to its citizens.
In April this year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, granted the request of an Emirati who was ridiculed in a radio program following his request for a decent home.
The Emirati, named Ali Al Mazroui, has been given a home and was appointed by Sheikh Mohammed as a social researcher in the Ministry of Community Development.
