President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday, May 16, dropped the names of government officials under investigation for their alleged involvement in corrupt activities.
The list included Atty. Ambrosi Basman, Atty Rohani Basman, Amisa Lumuntod, Amilquir Macabando, Department of Justice Prosecutor Atty. Samina Sampaco Macabando-Usman, and OIC Pasay City Prosecutor Atty. Benjamin B. Lanto.
Likewise, Inquest Prosecutor Clemente Villanueva, Assistant Prosecutor Florenzo dela Cruz, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) District Collector Ramon Anquilan, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Division Director Adzhar Albani, and NAIA customs operations officer Lomontod Macaban were also mentioned.
Duterte said the aforementioned officials are currently suspended.
“They are all suspended for now pending investigation,” he told reporters.
He added the names will be submitted to the Ombudsman for further investigation.
“Mas gusto ko ang Ombudsman para walang masabi,” Duterte said.
