Three men rob Dh150,000 from Asian victims

Sharjah Police are now going after three men who robbed more than Dh150,000 (approximately Php2.1 million) in cash from two Asian men.

A police official said the trio robbed their victims in Al Nasseriyah in Sharjah, reported Gulf News.

The victims sustained moderate injuries during the robbery when the suspects snatched their bag containing the cash. The two were taken to a Kuwaiti hospital for treatment.

Sharjah Police’s Criminal Investigation Department immediately went to the crime scene and examined a CCTV footage recovered in the area.

Following the incident, authorities reminded the public to be careful when withdrawing money from automated teller machines or ATMs..

Police have also started awareness campaigns to educate the public on security measures when withdrawing money.
