The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court has sentenced a man and two Filipino women to three years in jail after being found guilty of adultery.
Initially the court included the husband of one of the offenders for attacking his compatriot who had an illicit affair with his wife. However, he was later acquitted after the assault victim acknowledged that he provoked the attack.

According to The Express Tribune report, official court documents cited that the two Pakistani men had been business partners for over 15 years and had a restaurant and a transportation company. They were also living in the same apartment in Abu Dhabi with their Filipino wives.
But in October last year, one of them was able to dig up four video clips on his friend’s phone, showing his wife having sex with his friend.

“He hit him in the head, after which the friend fell down,” the report cited the prosecutors as saying. His anger also prompted him to stab his friend in the right eye, in the neck, and in the stomach. After attacking his friend, he called an ambulance to rush him to the nearest hospital.
