“When my men asked Velasco why he was carrying a bullet, he could not give any reason and that prompted them to arrest the suspect,” Northbound Asia quoted Buaron as saying.

Buaron said identified Velasco as one of the five suspects in the killing of Edgar Ursua, a seaman in Singapore, at his residence in Barangay Duplas.

The report said the suspects, including the victim’s wife conspired to seize items from Ursua’s house, including a $100 bill.

The police added that Velasco had an illicit affair with the victim’s wife. It was also found out that she was pregnant with her lover’s child.

Velasco now faces charges of robbery with homicide, while the woman could also face charges for her participation in the killing of her own husband.
