Woman expat to be deported for flashing middle finger

A Russian woman drove recklessly in Palm Jumeirah, constantly switched lanes and eventually blocked the road to assault a driver of another vehicle.

The road rage incident happened around 9 p.m. on May 24, 2016 involving the 47-year old accused and two other women.

The Court of First Instance has sentenced the 47-year old to three months in prison and deportation for using another person’s driving license and for flashing her middle finger in public.

The complainant said that the woman blocked the way and verbally abused her after getting off the car.

“She assaulted me and flashed her middle finger. A woman, who was with the defendant, came and said she was sorry for her behaviour and that the accused was drunk,” the complainant added.

The Russian woman admitted during public prosecution investigation that she lied to the police about her identity because she had a criminal record and prompted her to show her friend’s driving license and impersonate her.

The court ruling may be appealed.
