Dubai moved up one spot while Abu Dhabi jumped two places in the ranking released by Mercer, a human resources consultancy.
Pradeep Unni, Head of Strategic Business Development Richcomm Global Services DMCC, attributed the higher cost of living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to the region’s efficient governance, economic facilities, job satisfaction and future prospects.

Rounding up the top 5 most expensive cities are Hong Kong, Tokyo, Zurich, and Singapore.
