Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) rolls out its bus network in the emirate by opening 11 new bus routes including 10 metro feeder service, and improve 13 other routes starting from April 15th.
The move aims to bring more happiness to public transport users in general and bus riders in particular. It also responds to the increasing demand for this service in Dubai.
The plans include 10 feeder connections to the emirate’s bus and metro stations and amendments to routes to reduce travel time.
Among them is Route 9 from Al Ghubaiba bus Station to Business Bay metro, Route F04 Gold Souq bus Station to Deira City Centre Bus Station , Route F06 from Rashidiya metro to Rashidiya community and Route F07 from Etisalat metro to Dubai Municipality residences at Al Qusais.
There is also route F09 form Al Wasl Park to Jafiliya Bus Station, Route F19 from Business Bay metro to Ubora Towers, Route F27 from Al Nahda metro to Dubai Airport free Zone and Airport Terminal 2 and Route F28 from Emirates Towers metro to Satwa Bus Station.
Route F32 will connect Mall of the Emirates metro to Arabian Ranches; Route F35 will connect Mall of the Emirates metro the Greens and Al Barsha Heights; and Route F41 will connect Business Bay metro to South Ridge, Backyard Business Bay and Ubora Towers.
Route 7 will stop at Satwa rather than Al Ghubaiba station; Route 8 will run through King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Street; and Route 17 will be rerouted to reach the Al Wasl Residential Complex.
Route 29 will stop at Dubai Mall instead of Business Bay metro; Route 43 will terminate at Dubai International Terminal 2 rather than Festival City; Route A64 will serve Umm Al Romool; Route 95 will pass through Ibn Battuta metro in the direction of Dubai Internet City and Route 93 will stop at Mall of the Emirates instead of the Greens.
Route E98 will be rerouted from Satwa Station up to Al Quoz Station, without passing through Al Jafiliya, Route C15 will terminate at Deira City Station instead of Al Wasl Park and Route F08 will terminate at Dubai Festival City instead of the nearby Toyota Service.
Finally Route F14 will run in a circular route serving Business Bay metro, Ubora Towers, Backyard Business Bay and South Ridge; and Route F55A will be renamed N55 and be extended to Ghubaiba Bus Station as a night service.
