DUBAI: “As a fashion designer I want to show other people my talent in creating great designs,” said John Cairo A. Esteban, nominee for the Most Promising Fashion Designer of the Year at the recent The Filipino Times Awards.
Providing dress for The Filipino Times “The Filipina Beauty” pageant candidates and showbiz personalities who oftentimes appreciate his creations – gowns and dresses – keep Esteban ticking. He said he admires Michael Cinco and Ezra Santos, as they are his inspiration to work hard in his chosen career. Being somewhat unfamiliar to most of the people he meets is what Esteban considers the challenging part of his career.
“Nonetheless, I still try to fulfill my dream, if only to show everybody that I can,” he said. For Esteban, self-confidence, perseverance, and appreciating what you have are the main guiding values in life. The young fashion designer also believes that if someone is really passionate for what he does, his craft, he will certainly fulfill his dream and be on the way to success. “I want to be an inspiration to everyone who wishes to become a famous fashion designer.
We can fulfill a dream especially if we work hard for it. We should use our Godgiven talents to succeed and inspire other people,” said Esteban. Esteban dreams to become a famous fashion designer someday to help his family, which is really amiable knowing that at his young age, he has achieved a lot.
Life is a continuous learning process and when the right time comes, experts said Esteban can also shine like the other designers who already have names in the industry and succeeded in organizing their own fashion shows. Success is attainable as long as the desire is there and you put passion for what you are doing, as the saying goes.
