The United Arab Emirates has added 21 individuals and entities to its Local Terrorist List over alleged links to Hezbollah, as part of its efforts to combat terrorism financing and extremist activities.
The designation was issued under Cabinet Resolution No. 63 of 2026, which approved the inclusion of 16 individuals and five entities on the UAE’s list of individuals and organizations supporting terrorism, in accordance with the country’s laws and regulations.
According to authorities, the move is part of the UAE’s continuing domestic and international efforts to dismantle networks tied to the financing of terrorism and related activities, whether directly or indirectly.
Under the resolution, regulatory authorities have been directed to identify individuals or entities with financial or commercial ties to those listed and to implement the necessary legal measures, including the freezing of assets within 24 hours.
The UAE said the decision reflects its longstanding commitment to fighting terrorism and extremism in all forms and preventing the funding of terrorist groups, as part of broader efforts to promote regional and international security and stability.
Authorities added that the country continues to strengthen counterterrorism measures through security and monitoring efforts aimed at disrupting suspicious financial channels and cross-border funding networks linked to extremist activities.
