No Filipinos hurt in Lebanon escalation; embassy urges repatriation

The Philippine Embassy in Beirut said no Filipinos have been reported injured or killed following the latest escalation of hostilities in Lebanon.

Lebanese authorities reported hundreds of casualties, with hospitals operating at full capacity, but officials said Filipinos in the country remain safe based on current monitoring.

The embassy has issued a high alert advisory, urging Filipinos to remain vigilant, limit movement, and prepare essential supplies as the security situation continues to deteriorate.

Authorities also encouraged Filipinos to avail of the government’s voluntary repatriation program while commercial flights remain available, despite limited availability and rising costs.

Since late February, at least 56 Filipinos have been repatriated under Crisis Alert Level 3, as coordination among Philippine agencies continues to assist nationals in the region.
