The Department of Foreign Affairs has warned of delays in the release of new passports, citing logistical and supply chain disruptions linked to the Middle East crisis.
In an advisory, the DFA said passport applications filed from the last week of March may now take up to 15 working days to process.
The agency said the delays are due to constraints affecting passport production systems, including issues with the printing of ePassports.
Officials said they are working closely with their service provider to resolve the issue and restore normal operations as soon as possible.
The DFA advised applicants to plan ahead and allow extra time for processing, especially those with upcoming travel, while urging those with urgent needs to contact consular offices through official channels.
