Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will participate in the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi to accelerate the pace of sustainability as well as enhance economic, social, and environmental developments.
This event, held from April 16 to 18 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, will be hosted by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), an Emirati state-owned renewable energy company.
DEWA plans to showcase its significant projects and initiatives to make the world cleaner and more sustainable on its platform in Hall No. 5.
DEWA’s Managing Director and CEO, His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, said: “DEWA’s participation in the World Future Energy Summit comes within the framework of our keenness to support leading national events that aim to enhance sustainability and within our strategic partnership with Masdar, where our efforts are integrated.”
He also said that they aim to share their experiences and expertise in diversifying energy sources and improving the proportion of clean energy production capacity in Dubai. It will also be a great platform to learn about the latest technologies and investment opportunities in the renewable and clean energy sector.
DEWA’s participation in the summit supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aims for 100% clean energy production capacity by 2050.
