President Bongbong Marcos will be attending the coronation of King Charles III.
Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom Teddyboy Locsin Jr. confirmed the attendance of Marcos.
The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort Camilla will occur at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023, Saturday.
The service is to be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
“When I saw him in the wake of Bobby Ongpin, he said: ‘Teddy Boy, I’m coming in but we have to leave at once because we have to catch the summit (ASEAN).’ He is going to be here,'” Locsin said.
Locsin added that Marcos and the King know each other because they used to play golf together.
Locsin will not be in the coronation because only the Heads of State are invited to the coronation.
