President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has announced a series of new leadership appointments in the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been named as UAE Vice President, while H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has been named the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
The appointment of H.H. Sheikh Mansour was approved by the UAE Federal Supreme Council, and he will serve alongside H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour formerly held positions as the deputy prime minister and minister of presidential court. Additionally, he has been Chairman of the Ministerial Development Council, the Emirates Investment Authority, and the Emirates Racing Authority.
The newly named Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, is the eldest son of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. A new decree was also issued decree restructuring Abu Dhabi Executive Council under the chairmanship of Sheikh Khaled.
Meanwhile, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed and H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed were appointed as Deputy Rulers of Abu Dhabi.
The appointments come at a crucial time for the UAE, as the country seeks to bolster its position as a key player in the region and the world.
