The liftoff on Thursday, March 2 from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida was a thrilling moment as the crew boarded the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft for their journey to the International Space Station (ISS).

Along with UAE astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi in the Dragon Endeavour launched by the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket were NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.
During the live broadcast of the liftoff, UAE astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi thanked his family, the leaders of UAE, and NASA for making their flight to space a success.
The crew will spend an extended six-month period conducting scientific research and performing maintenance duties on the ISS.
