A 43-year-old African man was sentenced to two years imprisonment and will be deported after serving his term for robbery and assault charges.
The convict assaulted and robbed two Asians who were cycling on the road.
He stole their mobile phones and the bicycle after threatening them with a knife.
The African man also beat one of the victims causing severe injuries. The victim had to take a 20-day leave.
The two victims reported the incident to the police. They were able to identify the man who attempted to escape.
