I have been working with a company in Abu Dhabi for nearly two decades. Can I apply for my gratuity amount without resigning from my office? Please advise.
Answer:
You cannot receive your gratuity before the end of your employment.
Article 132 of the UAE Labor Law mentions, “A worker who has completed one or more years of continuous service shall be entitled to severance pay at the end of his employment.”
However, if your company is agreeing to give you your gratuity before the employment end, then you can get it.
