The Philippine government has called on the Filipinos not to travel to Afghanistan.
Most Filipinos have already been evacuated from the country since the Taliban took control last month.

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday said that it will closely monitor the situation in Afghanistan. The security situation in the country remains precarious, it added.
A ban on the deployment of Filipinos to Afghanistan also remains strictly in place.

As of September 16, at least 191 Filipinos have alraedy left the country.
The DFA earlier said that 20 Filipinos are still in the country with the foreign office last August issuing an Alert Level 4 in Afghanistan which prompted a mandatory evacuation of Filipinos. (AW)
