I have recently discovered that one of my partners had spread rumors about my business practices and shared untrue details about me on social media.
His actions have caused a considerable loss to my business.
Can I legally challenge him and also get some compensation too?

Yes, you can file a defamation criminal case against him.
You can also file a civil claim for compensation damages that accrued by his wrongful statement.
The UAE Penal code’s Chapter six describes crimes related to acts perpetrated against reputation, libel, insult, and disclosure of secrets.
