The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship (ICA) has urged applicants to obtain virtual work residency permits on its website and app.
The ICA website can be accessed by the applicants after logging in using a user account or smart pass. On selection of service from the list and after filling up of the the data and uploading of required documents, applicants will be made to pay the fees through the approved payments channels and submit the application.

The documents required for obtaining a virtual work permit are a personal photo, a copy of the passport, health insurance, medical fitness test result, virtual work proof outside UAE, and a salary certificate of $3,500 or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
The ICA also notified the transaction fee of AED 300 for those outside the country and AED 250 for those inside the country. Earlier the UAE Cabinet in March this year approved the decision to create the first virtual work residence permit of its kind in the region to attract bright people to the country.

The permit will enable a foreigner to enter the UAE on his personal sponsorship and stay there for a year to undertake a job. (AW)
