Eid celebrants and others in Sharjah can leave their vehicles in public parking places without having to pay for the first three days of the holidays, the authorities said on July 13.
All vehicle owners can look forward to enjoying their holidays through free public parking from July 20 to 22 (i.e. 10 to 12 Zul Hijjah), according to the announcement from Sharjah Municipality.

However, the free parking exemption would end with parking charges being levied as usual from the fourth day.
Free parking does not apply to the seven-day paid parking zones, which can be identified by the blue parking information sign on meters. (AW)
