Saudi Arabia has suspended flights to and from the UAE, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Vietnam due to emerging new variants of COVID-19.
The kingdom’s Ministry of Interior made the announcement on Saturday.

The ban takes effect on Sunday, July 4, at 11 pm.
Saudi nationals are allowed to visit these countries only after getting a permit from the kingdom’s authorities, according to the state-run SPA news agency.

All travelers, including Saudi nationals, arriving in the Kingdom will have to undergo mandatory quarantine.
Saudi nationals returning before Sunday are exempted from the ban. (RA)
