Dubai Police arrest gang involved in Dhs1.7 million robbery

The Naif Police Station criminal investigation team arrested a gang involved in stealing Dhs1.7 million from a general trading company.

Brigadier Dr. Tariq Tahlak, director of the station, revealed in a report on the Gulf Today that the company filed a complaint about the theft. The company said that no one can enter the company apart from employees through the code in the company’s main door.

The police formed a team to investigate and checked the recordings of the company’s surveillance cameras.

Authorities then saw an Asian employee who was previously dismissed from work and managed to steal the money through the help of 10 more individuals.

The suspect reportedly persuaded them that large amounts of money could be stolen if they entered the company through him.

The thief allegedly went to his employer to appeal to re-hire him again due to a lack of other work opportunities and family problems.

He, later on, left the door open so that the other suspects could enter the facility and tie the employees.
