A Taiwanese woman in Singapore was sentenced to 11 weeks of imprisonment after she deliberately sneezed at a security guard for denying her entry to the shopping mall.

In a report by The Straits Times, Sun Szu-Yen was said to have sneezed on the guard of Ion Orchard shopping mall after he refused to let her enter for not wearing a face mask.

“The victim reminded the accused to wear a mask before entering the mall. However, the accused used her scarf to wrap around her mouth instead,” Deputy Public Prosecutor Deborah Lee had earlier told The Straits Times. “When the victim did not allow the accused entry into the mall, the accused pulled another scarf out of her bag and indicated that she wanted to use it as a mask.”

The Straits Times reported that the defendant pleaded guilty on charges of rash act and harassment. Lee also said a report from a mental health institution confirmed she has a mood disorder.
