Shankar Trading Company: Bringing the best of the east to the Middle East

STC is likewise the first major importer and distributor of Filipino and FMCG products in the UAE and has since grown its portfolio, acquiring more and more brands as the years go by. The company has since established itself as the main player for stores all across the UAE who require Filipino and other ethnic brands.

“Today, we are importers and distributors of fast-moving consumer goods, ambient and frozen products, and are the largest importers of specialised Filipino products in the Gulf region, with an extensive product range and constant availability,” said Shankar Trading Company Director Raju Gidwani

“Our vision is to tap the mainstream markets accordingly, working for all communities. And recently launched halal-range from Philippines into the UAE. Even notice lots of Filipino brands are loved suitable in the palates of other nationalities,” furthers the STC Director.

The brands that STC currently distribute in the UAE from Philippines are (but not limited to): URC, NutriAsia, Oishi, Century, Rebisco, MY San, Aling Conching, RFM, Leslie’s, KSK Boy Bawang, Unilever, Sarangani Bay Prime, San Miguel Magnolia, their private label – Siblings, and many more.

In addition, the number 1 Indian snack brand Haldiram’s that extends from dry and frozen products, the top selling Malaysian brand Oriental, Ibumie, Lingham’s as well as Thailand brands Teptip, Thai Choice, Monty, Tai Tai, are all loved by the Filipinos.
