FULL SCHEDULE: Philippines’ Azkals matches for AFC Asian Cup 2019 Group Stages

The AFC Asian Cup 2019 is in full swing with the success of its opening ceremony held last January 5 that saw thousands of fans cheering for their own teams as 24 countries go head-to-head at the group stages to determine who will be hailed as the next champion!

With the motto “Bringing Asia Together”, the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 in the UAE will be the venue for the world to witness the football fever with over 50 games in 8 stadiums across 4 host cities: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai and Sharjah.

During TFT’s interview with Azkals Team Captain Phil Younghusband, he said that they’re looking forward to compete against Asia’s finest teams in football: “This is our first Asian competition. We are excited to play (against) the best teams in Asia. We are glad to finally be here.”

The Philippines’ Azkals will be pitted against South Korea, China, and Kyrgyztan in Group C. Tickets available via Ticketmaster starting Dh 25. Here are the details:

Younghusband hopes to see Filipino football fans to help boost the morale of the Philippine team during the games. “Sana lahat sila nandun sa game. Hopefully, all of them can be at the game and support us because we need all the support we can get. Coming against these strong teams, the fans will give us confidence.”

A total prize money of US$50 million will be given away, including $5 million for the champion of the tournament, which features 24 teams.
