VIRAL: Filipino visits Taiwan, relives ‘Meteor Garden’ memories

It has been more than a decade since the Taiwanese hit show ‘Meteor Garden’ debuted and set its imprint on Philippine television and popular culture in the country.

The show, which originally aired during the early 2000s, follows the story of a girl named Shan Cai who finds herself being the apple of the eye of four students, known as Flower 4 or F4, from well-off families at her university.

Having made a big impact on his life, a Filipino fan had a trip down memory lane by taking on a 12-hour long journey to various shooting locations of Meteor Garden.

Ash Cruz took to Facebook to share his experiences when he went to the National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan, or “Yingde University” in the said show.

“I traveled 12 hours (round trip) to the Southern part of Taiwan (Chiayi) to relive the memories of our first beloved Asianovela, Meteor Garden. The beautiful school is the National Chung Cheng University a.k.a. Yingde University,” he wrote.

While he was on his way to the university, he decided to prep himself up for what he was about to see – he watched some past ‘Meteor Garden’ episodes.

While he was there, he also decided to visit the other buildings, cafes, and locations which were seen on the said show.
