Ever been curious what Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto would have been if he opted not to run for government office?
The mayor, who is the youngest among all current mayors in Metro Manila, said he would have been a teacher if he did not vie for the post back in 2019.
Sotto said that prior to becoming Pasig City’s mayor, he taught for one semester at the Arellano University.
“Sandali lang naman yun sa Arellano University. One sem lang yun kasi tumakbo na akong mayor,” Sotto said in a video posted by the Department of Education.
“Kung hindi ako tumakbong mayor, tinuloy-tuloy ko yun. Isa talaga yun sa mga gusto kong gawin,” he added.
According to Sotto, he taught undergraduate college students, saying that does not have enough patience for younger students.
“Hindi ako masyadong pasensyoso. Baka uminit ulo ko,” Sotto said while laughing.
Sotto said he taught social studies, adding in jest that he can never teach Mathematics.
Sotto assumed office as Pasig City mayor back in June 2019.
