Veteran comedian Shalala (Carmelito Reyes in real life) has died. He was 61 years old.
The comedian’s death was announced by several news outlets with some saying that Shalala died from pulmonary tuberculosis.
He was rushed to the Fe Del Mundo Medical Center in Quezon City on June 22 and was revived for a few hours.
Shalala however passed away on the morning of June 23.
Shalala gained popularity when teamed up with the late German ‘Kuya Germs’ Moreno on the show ‘Walang Tulugan’.
He appeared in several shows in GMA 7 including Pepito Manaloto. He also made appearances in several TV 5 shows. (TDT)
