The Kapamilya network has strongly condemned the shooting incident which involved the van of Kapamilya star Kim Chiu on Wednesday morning.
“The network is relieved that none of them got hurt and is taking measures to ensure their safety. Our priority now is attending to their needs as they cope with this traumatic experience,” the network said in a statement.
The actress was on her way for a taping of her television series when unknown gunmen shot her vehicle.

“I don’t have an idea what really happened, mistaken identity, I guess? Napag-tripan? It’s a bad joke,” Chiu wrote on her Instagram account.
The network also thanked the authorities for their swift action on the shooting incident.
“ABS-CBN would like to thank the authorities for quickly responding to the incident and securing Kim and her companions,” the statement added.
The network said that they are working closely with the authorities, who are investigating the incident.
