Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has joined the league of celebrities who aired their reaction on the potential ABS-CBN’s closure.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Feb. 11, the songbird who just moved to the network last year, lamented the impact of the network’s shutdown to entertainment, news and public service.
“Alam kong sasabihin nyo meron pa namang ibang networks.
She stressed that the move to shut down the network will endanger the livelihood of thousands of workers employed by the company.
On Monday, Solicitor General Jose Calida filed a quo warranto petition before the Supreme Court to nullify ABS-CBN’s franchise.
Meanwhile, the Congress is yet to discuss the network’s congressional franchise renewal barely a month before it expires.
