Rock icon Bamboo Manalac said that he is excited to be back as one of the coaches of the hit singing competition ‘The Voice Kids’.

Bamboo said that his preference or style of choosing kids to be part of ‘Camp Kawayan’ stays the same.

Bamboo was also asked about one of the most popular alumnus of ‘The Voice Kids’ — Juan Karlos Labajo who is behind the song ‘Buwan.’

“I’m very proud and very surprised with what he did with ‘Buwan’. I knew he was an artist pero what he has become as a singer as well that struck me when I first heard that song,” Bamboo said.

The singer is also aware of some of the controversies JK has been into. But he clarified that he did not hear the entire stories about JK.

“Its been a rollercoaster fame. He needs to find a quiet time or the spot in finding self love. Just focus on the music on the art yun lang naman eh,” Bamboo said.
