Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez and Youtube Sensation Leroy Sanchez recently uploaded a now-viral hit of their rendition of Aladdin’s ‘A Whole New World’.
Jessica Sanchez, who rose to fame during her stint as a runner up on the eleventh season of American Idol, expressed her delight in performing the duet with Leroy through her post on Instagram.
“..so happy @leroysanchez asked me to do this video with him 🙂 full video is up now on his YouTube channel! & thank you @ryanparma for making this look absolutely beautiful!,” said Jessica.
Leroy Sanchez, who has the knack for creating singing impressive covers with his amazing vocal range, said via an Instagram post that he had long been waiting to release the collaborative video that he enjoyed creating with Jessica.
“#AWholeNewWorld with the one and only @jessicaesanchez !! I’ve waited so long to put this video out!! I hope you guys like it as much as I enjoyed doing it. #Aladdin ,” said Leroy.
Disney’s Aladdin is currently screening on all cinemas across the UAE and has since reportedly earned more than $7,000,000 on its opening day alone, with figures expected to rise as weeks go by, as per Forbes. Reviews of the film have mostly been positive with majority of the viewers raving about Will Smith’s comic version of Genie as well as the impressive acting prowess of Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Jasmine.
