Veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez and senatorial candidate Mar Roxas announced that they are now proud parents to twins, a boy and a girl, who were “born by surrogacy from our embryos”.
In an Instagram post, Sanchez, 54, broke the news when she first posted a photo of her twin’s little feet.
She captioned: “I think if you believe hard enough, the miracle you most want can come true.”
Then she goes: “Announcing the arrival of our little boy and little girl… Did you ever think it could still happen for me? I never stopped believing.”
Revealing more details about their twins, they stated that, “The little boy arrived first at five pounds four ounces and one and a half hours later, his fraternal twin sister arrived at four pounds 12 ounces. They are both perfectly healthy.”
Sanchez is a first-time mom while her husband, 61, has a 25-year-old son from his previous relationship. Since their wedding in 2009, the couple had been wanting to have children. However, they were racing against time because of their age to be able to make it a reality.
Despite their successes, the couple apparently is also trying to have that sense of fulfillment of being parents. After almost 10 years, their prayers have been answered.
Sanchez revealed that they are still searching for the perfect names for the twins, and they are open for any suggestions.
“We’re thinking of names. Any suggestions? Jack and Jill? Sonny and Cher? MariKor and KoriMar? Daniel and Kathryn?” she posted, with a photo showing her absolutely happy to have been blessed with two beautiful babies.
For her fans who are requesting to see the faces of their twins, Sanchez posted: “Andaming nagrerequest pakita daw ng mukha ng mga bata…O sige na nga. Abangan nalang mamaya sa TVPatrol ha? Promise (emotions).”
