Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda are possibly the most popular talk show tandem in Philippine show business, but it seems like their relationship has grown distant in the past few years.
It is public knowledge that Aquino and Abunda, who have been dubbed as the Queen of All Media and the King of Talk respectively, are good friends after working together in several ABS-CBN talk shows such as “Aquino & Abunda Tonight,” “The Buzz” and “Boy and Kris.”
However, after Aquino left the Kapamilya network in 2016, the two of them are rarely seen together. The true state of their friendship was confirmed by Aquino through Instagram on Wednesday.
In the comments section of one of Aquino’s posts, a netizen said that she was curious if the well-known television personality is still friends with Abunda.
“To satisfy your curiosity, I believe we’ll always care about each other but we are no longer active participants in each other’s lives,” Aquino revealed.
Abunda has not yet spoken up about Aquino’s revelation but he did say in an episode of his late night show “The Bottomline” that he misses Aquino.
“She will always be one of the best. Kami ni Kris, basa namin ang isa’t-isa. Uumpisahan niya ang sentence, tatapusin ko. We’ve been talking to each other for over 20 years,” Abunda said.
“I miss her,” Abunda added. “I miss her as a host,” he added.
