Janno Gibbs dismayed after not getting included in station IDs of ABS-CBN, GMA

Two media giants in the Philippines, GMA and ABS-CBN, released their respective Christmas Station IDs and it seems like singer Janno Gibbs got disappointed that he was not included in any of the two.

After the Kapamilya network launched its station ID at “ASAP Natin ‘To” last Sunday, Gibbs took to Instagram to post a photo taken from his contract signing with ABS-CBN implying that the network must have “forgotten” to include him in the video.

As of press time, the said post has been deleted but many entertainment websites were able to take screenshots of it.

“Throwback to September 12 this year when I signed with Star Music Philippines. Naalala ko lang. Sila yata di ako naalala e,” he wrote on Instagram adding the hashtags “#wagnyokohanapinsastationid” and “#lakipanglogosalikod”

In the comments section of the post, an Instagram user with the handle @0114_cm asked Gibbs why he wasn’t included in the station ID and if the network gave him an explanation about it.

“Di kasi ako network contract. Pero alam ko pag recording artist, automatic kasali sa station ID,” Gibbs answered the netizen.

Another netizen asked him to just delete the post since it seems like he was ranting against ABS-CBN and it might spark problems with the network.

“I’m simply conveying my feelings. Dinaan ko pa nga sa joke. If it were a rant, serious yung caption. I’m not looking for pity, I just want to explain because people ask me what’s my project now,” Gibbs said.

Since he did not appear on the station ID of ABS-CBN, two more netizens asked him if he was allowed to appear on the station ID of its rival network GMA – to which Gibbs answered yes.

“Boss Janno, balik ka na lang sa 7. Mag ober-da-bakod ka na,” one netizen said.

Gibbs replied by saying, “Pwede pa rin naman ako sa 7 eh, pero wala sila binibigay na work.”

Another Instagram user even tagged GMA’s account to his comment asking them to bring back Gibbs, but the singer simply replied, “Ayaw na din sa akin ng GMA”.

Meanwhile, one netizen left a comment saying that ABS-CBN possibly wanted to focus on Regine Velasquez so they might have forgotten about other artists to include in the station ID.

“They still have plenty of room if they wanted,” Gibbs replied.

More netizens left comments on his photo and Gibbs mostly replied to them saying that, as of the moment, he is simply waiting for new projects to be offered to him.
