The Philippine Migrant Workers Office (MWO), in partnership with VFS Global and DBP Data Centre Inc. (DCI), has launched two new Contract Verification Centres (CVCs) in the UAE – one in the World Trade Centre, Abu Dhabi, and the second in the World’s Largest Visa Application Centre in Wafi City, Dubai. The new service locations will help streamline contract verification for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the UAE.
The centres have been hailed as a positive step forward, designed to make contract verification a more accessible, efficient, and technology-enabled experience. Online bookings and secure payments can be completed at home before visiting the centre to submit the required documentation.
With optional services such as premium lounge access, primetime and walk-in submissions, the facility is open seven days a week with extended operating hours. Combined with real-time tracking, a dedicated helpline, and a 24-hour AI chatbot, OFWs can now complete the process with even more confidence and convenience.
Once documents are submitted, the MWO finalises the verification and notifies applicants by email, giving them access to their Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) and verified contract. This ensures that employment agreements meet Philippine government standards and protect worker welfare.
The inauguration was attended by senior officials from both the MWO and VFS Global, underscoring the strong partnership behind this initiative. For VFS Global, which serves 71 governments across 168 countries worldwide, the launch reflects its commitment to secure and reliable services for governments and citizens.
For the Filipino community in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the new centres are more than just offices, they are a symbol of progress, trust, and support for OFWs who continue to contribute so much to both the UAE and the Philippines.
