Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray slayed the New York Fashion Week on September 7 for American designer Sherri Hill.
Gray strutted her stuff down the runway twice while wearing creations of Hill, who also happens to be one of the sponsors of the Miss Universe pageant in which she will be competing later this year.
The Filipino beauty queen first sashayed down the runway while donning a pink sequined gown with a sweeping train, then she came out the second time around wearing a yellow gown with a cape.
A day prior the runway show, Gray took to social media to share that walking for a show in New York Fashion Week is a dream come true for her.
Hill also shared a video of Gray walking the streets of New York City while wearing one of her dresses.
After the show, Gray thanked the fashion designer for choosing her as one of the models for her show.
“My first NYFW. When I got the call back in Manila, I was incredulous to be flown to NYC to work with Sherri Hill. I couldn’t believe it, ako ba? Bakit ako? Thank you Sherri Hill for the amazing opportunity and for seeing something in me! And thank you everyone back home who stayed up to 5am to support! Mahal ko kayo sobra,” she wrote on Instagram.
Past and current Miss Universe winners, including Pia Wurtzbach, Iris Mittenaere, and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, also walked for Sherri Hill in her past shows.
During the event, Gray also met Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers who will be one of her competitors during the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2018 pageant which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in December.
