Angeline reacts to Jona, KZ being tagged as new queens of Teleserye theme songs

Angeline Quinto has reacted to comments that her title Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs should now be given to Jona and KZ Tandingan as the two are becoming more in demand than her.

Marami kasi ang nagsasabi na para bang napag-iiwanan na si Angeline ng dalawang powerhouse vocalists ng ABS-CBN.

Madalas na ring naririnig ang boses ni Jona sa mga teleserye sa ABS-CBN, tulad nang “Pusong Ligaw”, “Asintado” at “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso”.

Samantalang si KZ naman ang kumanta ng theme songs ng mga pelikulang “Sin Island” and “The Significant Other”. Hindi rin maitatanggi na mas lalong sumisikat ngayon si KZ dahil sa exposure na nakukuha niya sa “The Singer 2018.”

Pero ayon kay Angeline, wala naman siyang problema kung nabibigyan ng maraming blessings ngayon sina Jona at KZ. In fact, masaya at kuntento raw siya sa mga proyektong meron sya ngayon.

“Hindi po big deal sa akin ‘yon. Basta ako, hangga’t may trabahong dumarating sa akin, sobrang happy at kuntento po ako. For me lang, hindi naman siguro habambuhay na ako ‘yon, eh. Talagang lahat, hindi permanent. Actually, ‘yun pa rin naman po ang title na naririnig ko everytime na ipinapakilala ako sa mga show,” sabi ng singer.

Tinanong din siya ng press na kung siya ang “reyna” ng teleserye theme songs, papayag ba siya na maging “prinsesa” niya sina Jona at KZ.

“Hindi naman. Wala naman akong sinabing gano’n. Kanya-kanyang moment lang talaga,” natatawang sabi ni Angeline.

Speaking of “kanya-kanyang moment”, nagbigay rin ng komento si Angeline tungkol sa bali-balitang nalalaos na ang idolo nyang si Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez.

“Honestly, gusto ko pong sumagot na wala na pong dapat patunayan ang isang Asia’s Songbird. Kumbaga, kahit sinong dumating na kahit sinong bago na gustong pumalit kay Miss Regine, hindi mangyayari yun, e.

“Siya na yun talaga, e. Kumbaga, ako, honestly, malaking impluwensiya sa akin ni Miss Regine Velasquez. Kaya kahit sino, walang puwedeng pumalit sa kanya,” pahayag ni Angge na isang self-proclaimed Songbird fanatic din.

Katunayan, noong nagsisimula pa lang sya, puno ng posters ni Regine ang kanyang kwarto. “Sinasamba ko talaga si Ms. Reg,” pag-amin ni Angge.
